The main topic in our office at the moment is the weather

This is mainly because it causing us a few problem on our own gardens. With all the changes in weather one minute its cold, then next hot and then heavy rain. If you are a vegetable gardener then it can be soul destroying. Hours spent on creating a seed bed which can be destroyed in minutes. Regardless of the current weather patterns it not a new thing, its been happening for centuries.
With all the modern seed varieties and machinery at our disposal we can recover our position in a mater of hours on even the largest garden. But spare a though for the victorian vegetable gardeners, the inventors of most of the modern machinery and methods you see today. An over night storm or heavy rain at the end of May could but pay to a whole months work. And to recover from such an event took considerable application and additional efforts.
So if your vegetable gardens in a mess after the present changeable weather then take heart with a little bit of effort and a few hours sun you will be back on track.
